"Solgaleo"

"Solgaleo" 20in x 36in, acrylic paint on canvas, 2024.

This piece is a fanart painting of Solgaleo, inspired by its powerful, sun-like presence and bold design. I focused on capturing its strength and radiance through bright highlights, strong contrast, and structured forms. The sharp lines and glowing elements emphasize its connection to light and energy, giving the figure a sense of movement and intensity.

In this painting, I explored the idea of power as both controlled and overwhelming. Solgaleo’s design feels regal and commanding, so I used lighting and composition to place it as a central, dominant force. The brightness against darker areas helps create depth while also symbolizing its role as a source of light.

This work reflects themes of strength, energy, and balance. While Solgaleo appears fierce and unstoppable, it also carries a sense of purpose and stability. Through this fanart, I wanted to show how power can be both intense and refined, creating a presence that feels both intimidating and inspiring.
